so in addition to this class, i'm taking creative writing on saturdays (blah!) and u.s. political processes, which is particularly interesting because we're lucky to be in the midst of what may be the most crucial presidential race ever. the other day, my boyfriend showed me this video of a sarah palin rally in ohio where several individuals were asked to give their opinions on obama. i wanted to share it because frankly, the responses terrified me. to think that there are people who live in this country and talk and act this way is shameful and very disturbing to me.
unfortunately, i don't think it's just obama these folks take issue with, but likely black people in general. of course, considering obama is running for president, that's going to get people talking about him specifically, but it does make me wonder what they think of other people of different races and color on a whole...i have a feeling they probably don't think very good things :/
it freaks me out, the whole white-supremacist thing...yikes.
